My Zulu Hut is

A Zulu girl’s love for story-telling and all things beautiful dream come true. A traditional Zulu hut is a bee-hive like structure that is built with elements borrowed from mama nature.

The process of building of the Iqhugwane (Zulu hut) has inspired me to build my My Zulu Hut brand. I hope to honour the humbleness of this natural structure that relies on the colours brought in by artefacts and the people who live or visit the home.

Daughter of activists, I was born and raised in the sunny South Africa. I grew up in green, wet Ireland and now living and developing in the temperamental windy Scotland. Edinburgh is home to me and my three Angels. I am championing single-mothering and running my own empire, whilst staying true to myself, my culture and heritage. Inherited from the activism of my parents, I am passionate about eradicating child-poverty and raising awareness of work-poverty. I love empowering and cheerleading others to reach their potential.

I am determined to bring to the world, a diverse way of embellishing us in colour and not waiting for big celebrations to celebrate it. I also hope to remove the stigma that these types of prints are only for Africans. The world is diverse and full of colour, let us embrace it. With my brand, My Zulu Hut I aim to do this ONE BAG AT A TIME!

From my heart, My Zulu Hut
